Spring Cleaning

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, it is officially Spring! Now we can finally pack up all of the winter gear, and prepare for the long days and warm nights. Since it is now Springtime, I would like for everyone to participate in a mental spring cleaning. A mental spring cleaning is when you’re clearing out of all the toxic and negative individuals that are currently present in your life. I believe that everyone should go through this cleanse at least once a year. Stop overlooking that huge dust bunny sitting under the couch, and get your duster ready. The sooner you remove all the dust out of every single nook and cranny, watch how things begin to change. The air begins to become more refreshing, and everything seems much brighter.

First thing first, remove alI “Debbie Downer’s”, “Bitter Betty’s” and “Negative Nancy’s” from your life, as soon as possible. Stop ignoring the red flags, and start taking precautions when those indications appear. Whenever you notice any sign of negativity, just simply make a mental note. Too many mental notes means it is time to pull out that good ol’ swifter duster and start cleaning.

For some odd reason, these individuals have the constant need to remind you of all negative aspects FIRST, and believe they’re untouchable from the mishaps of life. Almost as if they’re natural born joy killers. Nothing worse than when you’re sharing good news, or in a good mood and then someone just comes along and rains on your parade. It’s okay to express yourself to whomever you choose, yet watch what you say. You can’t speak your goals and aspirations into existence with those waiting on your downfall. Not every person within your circle is actually rooting for your success.

It’s mind boggling that it’s so difficult to identify negative people in our lives. You would assume that they would stick out like a sore thumb. Yet, in reality they’re more like a wolf hiding in sheep skin. Sometimes, we tend overlook negative comments of others and actions because they’re still trying to deny the underlying truth that’s in front of you. And the truth is, this person is not a person you want within your circle at all.

Surround yourself with people that push you to do better. No drama or negativity. Just higher goals, and higher motivations. Good times and positivity energy. No jealously or hate. Simply bringing out the absolute best in each other

So, are you now ready to throw on some old school music and get to cleaning? If not, I think it’s time that you did.

Until next time (:
